FFA Officer Election Interviews

Interviews for the 2010-2011 Scott county FFA Officers will be held on May 4th, 2010 at 4:00 pm. Applications can be downloaded below and should be turned in to an Advisor by April 29th.

FFA Regional Day

Congratulations to the Scott County FFA members for their outstanding performance at the Bluegrass Regional FFA Speaking Competitions on March 17th.  The following members will be representing the Bluegrass Region and Scott County at the State Competition, June 8 – 10.

 

Public Speaking – Kendall Mallory 1st

Extemporaneous Public Speaking – Brittany Childers 2nd

Beef impromptu – Carter Mobley  1st

Crop Impromptu – Clay McDowell 1st

Goat Impromptu – Katie Flynt 2nd

Horse Impromptu – Erin Galvin 2nd

Sheep impromptu – Courtney Baldwin 1st

FFA Paperwork Day

Congratulations to the Scott County FFA members for all their hard work and dedication,   22 Proficiencies were entered in the Bluegrass Regional Paperwork Day yesterday, March 25.  Twenty were rated superior and 9 received first place and will represent Scott County and the Bluegrass Region at the state competition in June. Members advancing to state are:

 

Katie Flynt – Ag. Communications placement

Kendall Mallory – Agricultural Education placement

Amanda Conley – Beef Production placement

Cody Rankin – Diversified Crop placement

Melissa Fister – Diversified Horticulture placement

Ashley Fritsch – Equine Science Entrepreneur

James Watson – Forest Management Entrepreneur

Jon Lyons – Nursery Operations

Erin Galvin – Tobacco Essay

 

Also, congratulations to Ashley Fritsch for being named the Bluegrass Region Vice President and Kendall Mallory for being selected to serve on the state nominating committee and alternate for state  officer.

FFA Fun Night
Feb 25, 2010

The FFA Fun Night and Supper is still a go for tonight, Thursday Feb 25th at 6:00 pm in the AG wing at Scott County High School.  Following the meal, there will be a brief Alumni Meeting in Room 178.  Activities will be held in the 9th grade gym - Basketball, Volleyball, Corn Hole, Karaoke, and much more.  Activities will conclude at 8:00 pm.  See you there.
